Chalupkova: An Urban Oasis by Stefano Boeri

Chalupkova is one of the most important projects shaping Bratislava’s emerging downtown. Located between Chalupkova, Košická and Mlynské Nivy streets, the development is transforming a long-neglected former industrial site into a vibrant mixed-use neighbourhood designed for contemporary urban living.
The project’s defining feature is its ambitious architectural vision. The masterplan emerged from an international architectural and urban design competition and was won by Stefano Boeri Architetti, the globally renowned studio recognised for integrating architecture, nature and public space.
At the heart of the development lies a generous public park conceived as an urban oasis for residents and visitors alike. The concept combines housing, retail, offices and public amenities while placing exceptional emphasis on greenery, environmental quality and everyday urban experience. Extensive landscaping, carefully selected planting and green architectural elements will create a distinctive identity within Bratislava’s rapidly growing city centre.
