Three days of high-level networking, 17 partners united under one roof, a completely packed seminar stage, and highly insightful debates on the future of Central European real estate. The Czechia & Prague National Exposition at EXPO REAL 2026 proved that when the state, cities, and the private sector join forces, international investors take notice.
When we set out for Munich under the motto “United for growth, under one roof”, our goal was clear: to give international investors a single, comprehensive gateway to the Czech real estate market. Looking back at the three days in Hall A2, Stand 430, the result was a resounding success.
A Packed Opening Ceremony and the “Why Czechia?” Debate
Monday afternoon set an ambitious tone right from the start. The programme opened with an engaging panel discussion dedicated to one of the most critical topics for international developers: new legal trends and legislative reforms designed to streamline permitting and accelerate construction across Czechia. Offering practical legal and regulatory perspectives, the session showed investors how the country is actively removing barriers to new development.
Immediately following the legal debate, the spotlight shifted to regional potential with a dedicated presentation by the City of Ústí nad Labem, which unveiled its strategic transformation vision and the vast investment opportunities emerging in northern Bohemia.

As the afternoon progressed, anticipation around Hall A2, Stand 430 grew steadily, culminating at 17:00 with the Official Opening Ceremony of the Czechia & Prague National Exposition.
Highlighting the unprecedented alignment between the state, the capital, and the international real estate community, the ceremony brought together top-tier leadership on a single stage: First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček, Minister of Regional Development Zuzana Mrázová, Mayor of Prague Bohuslav Svoboda, CEO of SIRS Zbyněk Pokorný, and CEO of Messe München Stefan Rummel.
Their welcoming remarks sent a clear message to the market: Czechia is open for business and ready to support strategic growth under one roof.

Immediately following the ribbon-cutting moment, the stage transitioned into the undisputed highlight of Day 1: our panel discussion, “Why Czechia?”. In a rare and dynamic format, Ministers Karel Havlíček and Zuzana Mrázová alongside SIRS CEO Zbyněk Pokorný were joined on stage by top executives from major global investors already operating in the region: Glenn Schmidt (Vice President of Global Sustainability at BMW Group) and René Kaldenhoven (Managing Director and Member of the Board at GOLDBECK).
Together, they explored Czechia’s competitive advantages from both sides of the table, combining the state’s strategic vision for infrastructure and site preparation with the firsthand experience of global industry leaders. Interest in this open, candid dialogue was so immense that the audience completely packed our exposition and spilled out to fill the main aisle in front of the stand.

From Metropolitan Visions to Industrial Transformation
Day 2 kept the momentum going with a full-day marathon of 11 focused presentations and 4 panel discussions that took the audience on a journey from Prague’s newest urban districts to the industrial heartlands of Czechia.
The morning kicked off with a deep dive into the capital’s future growth. Experts from IPR Prague introduced the newly approved Prague Metropolitan Plan, a milestone zoning strategy that unlocks inner-city reserves and brownfield sites through transit-oriented development while protecting the city’s iconic UNESCO skyline. Moving from city-wide strategy to concrete neighborhood visions, it was then time for Na Jelenách and Sekyra Group to present their innovative projects reshaping the face of the capital.
The opening block concluded with the “Prague: Ready to Grow” panel discussion, debating how the capital is opening up its development potential on an unprecedented scale.

Late morning shifted the focus to the architectural ambitions shaping the capital during the Unique Architecture block. Following the presentations of Trade Centre Praha, DARAMIS, Penta Real Estate and SATPO Group showcasing their latest projects and visions, these perspectives came together in the “Prague: A Unique Place to Live In” panel, where city representatives and private developers explored how upcoming residential projects continue to raise the architectural bar across the metropolis.

In the afternoon, the spotlight turned to the backbone of the Czech economy: industrial development and strategic brownfields. Speakers from the State Investment and Development Company (SIRS), Nová Huť, CzechInvest, and the Moravian-Silesian Investment and Development agency (MSID) offered a practical look at how Czechia identifies, prepares, and supports strategic locations for high-value global investors.
The subsequent panel discussion on development projects in the Ostrava region went straight to the core of what investors need most: ready infrastructure, skilled workforce availability, and seamless cooperation between public institutions and site owners to bring underused industrial land back into productive use.

The final sessions of the day highlighted how progressive Czech municipalities are driving regional transformation. The City of Ostrava presented its data-driven framework for spatial planning, showing how transparent rules and a focus on transformation sites and industrial heritage can accelerate project preparation for investors.
Rounding off the Tuesday programme, the City of Ústí nad Labem, together with experts from ECO.NERG Group and PwC Czech Republic, shared firsthand experience of partnering with the European Investment Bank (EIB) and utilizing the ELENA programme to finance energy-efficient renovations, renewable energy, and modern urban infrastructure.

Non-Stop B2B Networking Across Two Floors
Beyond the seminar stage, the true heartbeat of the exposition was direct business. While it is impossible to count the exact number of meetings that took place over the three days, the atmosphere spoke for itself: all four private meeting rooms on the upper deck were booked solid from morning till evening, and our ground-floor partner lounge area was constantly buzzing with negotiations at every table.
And because no Czech national presence would be complete without renowned hospitality, our dedicated on-site staff kept the networking fueled by countless espressos and more than 800 glasses of freshly poured Czech beer before the fair gates closed on Wednesday afternoon.

Thank You for Making It a Success. See You in 2027!

At the same time, none of this would have been possible without the shared commitment of our 17 partners, who formed the beating heart of the entire exposition and came together to represent the best of Czech real estate.
We also extend our sincere thanks to the entire production, construction, and hospitality crew whose hard work behind the scenes brought our stand to life and kept everything running smoothly.
