A New Regional Sports Landmark

A major public investment creating a new destination for international sport, events and year-round activity in Ústí nad Labem.

Ústí nad Labem is preparing a new multifunctional indoor athletics arena in Všebořice – a strategic public investment designed to strengthen the city’s position as a regional centre for sport, events and leisure.

With an estimated investment of approximately CZK 600 million, the arena will offer seating for 2,200 spectators and facilities designed to meet the requirements for national and international athletics competitions, including World Athletics Silver-level indoor meetings.

The project combines a six-lane 200-metre banked track, an eight-lane sprint straight and complete facilities for technical disciplines with an extensive year-round training complex. A unique 130 × 24 metre training zone will provide additional space for training, warm-up activities and fitness facilities.

A strategic location between Prague and Dresden

The arena will be located in Všebořice, with direct access to the D8 motorway and excellent connections to both Prague and Dresden. Prague is approximately 100 km away and Dresden approximately 80 km away, placing the project within a strong cross-border catchment area.

This accessibility creates potential extending beyond sport itself. Major sporting events and year-round use of the facility can generate additional demand for accommodation, hospitality, retail, leisure services and complementary commercial development.

Public investment supporting wider urban development

The arena is part of Ústí nad Labem’s broader transformation and investment in modern urban infrastructure. It represents a new destination capable of attracting athletes, visitors and events from across Czechia and neighbouring Germany.

The project is currently moving through preparation, construction expected to start in autumn 2027 and completion potentially in 2028.

Energy efficiency is also an integral part of the concept, including planned photovoltaic panels and battery storage.

For investors and developers, the project represents more than a new sports venue – it is a major public investment creating new activity, visitor flows and opportunities for complementary development in one of Ústí nad Labem’s well-connected urban locations.
