The City of Ostrava is offering a centrally located plot bounded by Českobratrská, Beno Blachuta, Žerotínova and Poděbradova Streets – one of the main transport arteries in the city centre, with excellent access by car and public transport. Access will improve further once the planned widening of Místecká Street creates a new covered pedestrian route.
The site’s total area is 1,055 m², of which 793 m² is available for building. It previously formed part of a compact block of city-centre buildings, so infill development that partially closes the block and completes the street frontage is the preferred approach – most likely a polyfunctional building of up to five storeys, combining apartments, offices and services, with underground parking.
The location is close to the Janáček Conservatory, the Art Nouveau Polish House, and the PLATO contemporary art gallery, housed in a revitalised former slaughterhouse just across the street. This lucrative part of the city centre has already attracted several private investors, who are building new apartment schemes with commercial space and underground parking in the immediate vicinity.
