Plzeňská Site – Ostrava-Jih
A 10,000 m² development site in Ostrava’s most populous district, next to Bělský Les park and the district town hall.
The City of Ostrava is offering a 10,000 m² plot at the junction of Plzeňská and Horní Streets, in the heart of the Ostrava-Jih district – the most populous municipal district in the city. The site sits directly next to the Ostrava-Jih district town hall and close to Bělský Les, the largest natural park in Ostrava, as well as a major public transport hub.
Given its location on a busy road, the site is not intended for recreational use such as a park or playground; the city’s zoning plan envisages built development here. Horní Street, between the site and Ostrava-Jih Square, is planned to be redeveloped as a tree-lined urban boulevard separating traffic from new cycle paths, while the connecting stretch of Plzeňská Street is to be unified with the same design language.
The surrounding area is already changing: the recently completed Pavlovova residential development added 60 new apartments nearby. The city is seeking an investor for a high-quality, architecturally distinctive project that will strengthen this part of Ostrava-Jih as a genuine urban focal point.
