Strategic Industrial Zone Ostrava-Mošnov
A 25 km logistics hub next to Ostrava’s international airport, with 8 major investors and 3,900+ jobs already created.
The Ostrava-Mošnov Strategic Industrial Zone (SIZ) is located 25 km south of Ostrava city centre, directly next to Leoš Janáček Ostrava International Airport, with direct rail connections and easy access to an international highway corridor – an important logistics hub for the whole of Central Europe. The zone is fully equipped with technical infrastructure and benefits from its proximity to Ostrava, the capital of a 1.2-million-strong region, ensuring a large, readily available workforce.
The SIZ is currently home to eight major companies – including MAHLE Behr (Germany), Plakor Czech (South Korea), Cromodora Wheels (Italy), Mobis Automotive System Czech (South Korea) and IRCE (Italy) – which together have invested CZK 15.7 billion and created almost 3,900 jobs.
The City of Ostrava is currently offering investors: a 5.5-hectare site in the central part of the zone (divisible into 2.89 ha and 2.56 ha plots), a further 2.6-hectare site in the eastern part of the zone, and six plots (four of 3 ha and two of 1 ha) in the zone’s administrative centre. Separately, around 14 hectares of land directly opposite the airport terminal is being prepared in phases as a greenfield site for modern office development, potentially combined with aviation-related activities.
